The A31 will remain open at all times during the day.
Access to the roundabout from Ferndown and Longham will be closed from Thursday 2 February until Friday 9th March inclusive.
From Thursday 2 February until Thursday 16 February
You will be able to turn off the A31at the Canford Bottom roundabout to Canford Bottom and Wimborne only if you are travelling from west to east i.e. towards Ringwood /Southampton.
When you come out from Autovan Services to the roundabout you will only be able to turn left onto the A31 towards Ringwood/Southampton.
If you wanted to go towards Poole or Dorchester then you turn left along the A31 to the first roundabout (Ameysford roundabout) and turn round and come back along the A31.
From Friday 17 February until Friday 23 March
There will be no access to and from the Canford Bottom roundabout from any of the side roads.
It is suggested that you follow the above map, which will take you through Longham, Merley and the outskirts of Wimborne to Canford Bottom.
Directions: (see Map 1)
1 If you are travelling East to West ie from Ringwood/Southampton on the A31
Go through/across the Canford Bottom roundabout to the next roundabout (Merley) and turn left.
Or 2 If you are travelling from West to East ie from Dorchester turn right at the Merley roundabout
Then left again at the next roundabout towards Wimborne (past the Willett Arms pub on your right)
Or 3 If you are travelling from Poole or have been diverted through Longham and Bear Cross to Merley
Then turn right at the Merley roundabout towards Wimborne (past the Willett Arms pub on your right)

Follow the road over the bridge and at the next small roundabout bear right onto Leigh Road and follow Map 2

Follow Leigh Road ( which will become Wimborne Road West) and turn left into Hayes Lane, just before the Esso Garage on the corner.
Continue up Hayes Lane to the end and turn right down Middlehill Road towards Canford Bottom.
Then sharp turn left into our lane.
